Identifying the Problems

The Hassle

  1. Passing phone(s) around

  2. Time is spent on all the deliberation. When are we going to chill and talk?

The Food

The infamous loop: “What would you eat? Whatever you say. Nah, not that.”

  1. Someone has a preference for restaurant(s) and/or dish(es) from those places.

  2. Someone has a preference simply for a dish. Ex:- biryani, pasta, pizza, etc.

  3. Someone would not want to eat certain ingredients, or food items because of allergies, dietary restrictions, or simply personal choice. Come on, nobody LIKES to munch on broccoli.

  4. Someone does not have any preference.

Budget and Splitting the Money

Splitting the money can turn into a splitting headache featuring calculators.

It would make the experience smoother, and more convenient if a solution could be incorporated in the app itself.

  1. They want to split the money evenly.

  2. The splitting would be unequal.

  3. It’s someone’s treat!

Time

Needless to say, the time it takes for the food to arrive is important.
