Be it a desk, wardrobe, a piece of clean code, a notebook, or UX and UI - a good design goes a long way beyond just pleasing the eyes. Design is not an ornament, it’s instrumental in building anything - a personal project, a photo album, a full-fledged software. I’ve spent quite some time on the coding end of the spectrum. Each time I’m spent more time critiquing my design than sitting cluelessly with Javascript. I gradually realized that the process of generating ideas, concepts, designs are just as important as the process of getting to actual construction. And I realized that’s where my heart lies.
I’m yet to learn a lot. A lot. But I’m driven my belief that design is humane. Design is a living thing - it outgrows a lot of ideas as we learn to polish more, and (most importantly) care more about different demographics.

In July 2022, I joined FamPay as a Product Designer. In a span of less than a year, we worked together to scale the app to open up to new use cases, open it up to a wider group of users, and go for a 3-month sprint to rebrand the entire app. I extensively took part in taking care of onboarding, home page, household bills, subscriptions, support, and building a design system, and an amazing journey with an amazing team.

I took up a 4-day assignment to design a Group Food Ordering App. The Problem statement was pretty straightforward - how do I simplify the experience of ordering food during a gathering with friends? How do I account for all the conflicting interests, the hassle, the splitting of the bill, etc.? This was a pretty interesting exercise. I did a dump of everything that occurred to my mind, and then gradually cleaned it up, and visualized it as wirefames.
